As far as I am concerned (and yes, I may be Venting), the Titles in Pro X2 are still the most difficult portion of the application to work with (as they were in V11).
To just do a simple little change of Font, background colour, you (well, at least I) have to hunt and peck and try to figure out how to do things like this.
And to think, I was going to say how impressed I was in the changes ULEAD (Corel?) put into the new version.
Well, as far as I am concerned, they forgot to bring the Titles functionality into the Modern age.
Sorry for Venting but now I have to go find Utube, or online tutorials to figure out how to do stuff Word, WordPerfect and yes, even Wordpad type programs do with grace.

Titles still hard to work with

Hunt and peck? All the controls are right there when you click on the Title tab.

I agree with Bob. I've been trying some trial and error things today and the titles really are exasperating to me.
When I did my DVD last week, I was finally able to get to the different styles and color combos with animation, but today I can't seem to find any of that!
When I double-click on the preview image in the "title" tab, this is what appears:
Duration Bold Italic Underline Alignment tabs
Select a Title
Style Preset
Font Face
Font Size Line Spacing Rotate
Multiple Titles Open Subtitle File
Single Title Save Subtitle File
Text Backdrop Show Grid Lines
Border/Shadow/Transparency Alignment
There's nowhere to choose font color. If I try to choose, say, a caligraphy font, I can't choose a color. The only color choices available are in the presets.
Also, I can't get the animation to work once I've typed in my title.
It's probably something that I'm overlooking, but this page seems to be missing something.

So in between Font Size and Line Spacing you don't have a square with a color in it?

Jeff,
I got out of the program for awhile and went back to it before I came back to this forum. The color block was there, but before had been greyed out. Or possibly it had "appeared" to be greyed out, but in any event, I located it again. I did find the video tutorial on youtube about "titles" which was very well done. Wish I could maneuver the page that easily.
Thanks for responding.

as another user who went from 11, to the plus, to x2 pro...
3 gb of ram fixed titles. Nothing less. I have gone as far as 3 minute long scrolling ends to a clip with little effort. I do find the font thing to be annoying, but the rubber bouncing ball feeling went away after alot of ram installed. Also, the vista premium and dx 10 helped. I used to use xp home, it didn't even care that I had 3gb of ram. vista has a bigger grab (heap management) and that also fixed a few things. Titles were the most stubborn. All options and fancy artsy stuff just works easy now.

Well, I only have 1 GB of RAM with my P4 system and have no problems with titles, or anything else for that matter. I think your issue is more with Vista than anything else.
