I am preparing a DVD slideshow of old high school pictures. My HS reunion committee would like to show this at our upcoming reunion. I have created several DVDs of family vacations, etc. for playing on set top DVD players. However, I am unfamiliar with what type of file I need to produce for showing to a crowd at a program. When I get to the Share step of production what type of file should I create? Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

How will you be showing it? I just did something similar using an LCD projector. I simply burned to a DVD and connected a DVD player to the projector.

I'm not sure just how I will project it. I guess I need to check with the hotel first to find out what AV equipment they have for our use.

If you are having it at a hotel I would be surprised if they didn't have a DVD player and projector.

Thanks, Jeff. You are correct, they probably do have everything I will need to show a DVD. I will check with them and if I need further help I'll post again.

Check with the venue...that's I did and also check which laptop/desktop/DVD player that's connecting to it.
I did something similar recently on a note book running Vista home basic on a projector...so I opted for a WMV filesaved on a USB stick...worked perfect with the standard definition video and stills.
I chose this option because I had mixed field formats in my video files (both Upper and Lower field first). Creating a DVD cause some of the video to shudder and creating a frame based WMV file worked a treat (I did create a frame based DVD as back-up). Both worked
Oh! and do a rehearsal! go to the venue and test the equipment!
