WinDVD SE - Problem

I have recorded a program from VHS tape to the hard drive on my

DVD/Video recorder.

I had about 3 hours of a program recorded onto the DVD. 4.7 gig.

I then played it via WindDVD SE.

It plays OK, but the sound is out of sync.

Anyone any ideas how to the the audio & video together?
