highlighted selection

Post by Ms_Kathy »

I recently lost my C drive and had to reinstall PhotoImpact version 11. For some reason I'm getting a green dashed square around all of my objects and I didn't have that before. Can someone tell me how to get rid of that outline?

Thanks in advance

I'm not sure what you mean by green dashed box. Could it be like the one in this screenshot?

If so that's a selection marquee. Just deselect or go to the Selection menu and deselect the Show/Hide selection.

The image you posted looks like what I'm seeing. But whether anything is selected or not, I'm getting this green outline. I checked the show/hide slection option but it wasn't available.

Ok, go to Preferences and on the first category, PhotoImpact look for and uncheck the box beside Highlight inactive selections and objects.

I really appreciate you trying to help me with this because I never had it before and now I can't seem to get rid of it.

I went to Preferences but 'Highlight inactive selections and objects' is NOT checked. I should just try reinstalling PhotoImpact 11. I also have version 12, maybe I'll install that version and see if that helps.

LOL, it's just driving me crazy.

Well I just did two things and I'm not sure which one fixed the problem, but it is fixed now. I installed the Service Pack for version 11 and then I installed version 12.

Thanks again for taking the time to assist me
