I have home movies in ISO format which refuses to identify on my Factory 3.5 to make DVD copies. If I up grade to Factory 6, will it recognize ISO format on original DVD to make copies?
Thank you

ISO files are exact files to be used for burning additional copies
At the bottom of the opening splash screen are four icons.
From the left, the individual icons represent "File Info", "Erase disc", "Burn from Disc Image" and "Print Labels."
Just click on the "Burn from Disk Image", in the next menu identify (locate) the *.iso file and you're on your way.

More instructions please:teetertotter wrote:I have home movies in ISO format which refuses to identify on my Factory 3.5 to make DVD copies. If I up grade to Factory 6, will it recognize ISO format on original DVD to make copies?
Thank you
I click on "Burn from Disc"
Source Disc Image file is from my "D drive" where orig. DVD is inserted
Then asks me for "File Name" Where do I get file name?
Below that is "File type" and would select ISO Disk Image File[*iso]
What file name do I use as my image is on the DVD in D Drive.
Thank you Bob, Jon

A DVD does not have ISO image files, if it is a video DVD. The video files are located in a folder called VIDEO_TS, and are enclosed in VOB files. In order to extract them from the DVD, you need to select Insert DVD/DVD-VR. You need to be sure to check the boxes beside the titles and chapters you want to import. DVD MovieFactory will then parse the VOB files and insert the MPEG-2 video files on your timeline. Once they are imported, build your menus, and then at the final stage, uncheck the box beside Burn to disc, and if you do not see Create DVD Folders, and Create Disc Image, the press the down arrows to the right. Check the box beside Create Disc Image, and then press Burn. DVD MovieFactory will then create an ISO file on your hard drive.
To burn DVDs using ISO image files, launch Ulead Burn. Now and select Copy Disc. On the right side, select the radial button under Source for Disc Image File. Then press the folder icon to it's right and navigate to the ISO file.
Now if all you want to do is copy (a disc that is not copy protected), just launch Ulead Burn. Now and select Copy Disc. With the DVD in the tray it should see it. Refer to page #45 of the Burn. Now user guide.

My DVD home movie that I want to make copies is in [.iso] format from my home intertainment Pioneer DVR.
When I use Uleads, DVD Factory 3, "Copy Disc" an error msg says, "Unspecified Error."
When I use Uleads DVD Factory 3, "Copy/Fit Disc" to make a copy the msg says, "The source disk cannot be converted to an .iso disc image format. Please use the .ixb format to create the disc image."
Are there any other specific instructions that would help me to make copies of my DVD home movies using Ulead?
The Home Movie DVD is in my E drive the copying is done on my D drive.
The ISO format on my DVD home DVD cannot be copied as ULead factory 3 does not recognize?
Is there more I can try and do? Maybe locate copy software that has .iso format included for copying?

I need to upgrade to 6? I can copy other DVD's and CD'S, but not those I have home movies from my DVD Pioneer DVR. Guess I just don't understand and appreciate anyones patience. I guess is just complicated for me. DVD Movie Factory 3 does not have the buttons u mentioned.
Thank you

I apologize for overlooking those very important facts

I think I'm on the same page as you now, and need to know what specific model of Pioneer DVR you have so that I can look up some specs on it. Some DVRs make it almost impossible to copy the discs.
Yes the instructions I provided were from MF6+, however I searched through my older program discs and found one for DVD MF4, which should be very close to DVD MF3. The above procedures are about the same as those with DVD MF4. So I think the problem may be with the format your DVR uses. Burn.now uses the ISO 9660 (Juliet) an older UDF Bridge. Since DVRs are newer to the world than DVD MF3, it may not recognize the format.
What you can try is another ISO image program. Wikipedia has a list of them... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_ISO_image_software
