I did searches for Pause on the forum and in the VS 12 Pro X2 help to no avail.

Is there an easy way to pause a movie at a certain scene? I will be showing it on a projecter going to a huge Poolside screen. I heard the projecter accepts input from a computer, dvd player etc.

Come to think of it, I guess I can just use a DVD player and hit the ole II pause button. I was wondering if and how I can do it on the system (use the preview window?)

I think I just answered my own stupid question.

Yes I think you did answer your own, (however not stupid) question. The space-bar also acts as a play/pause. So in VS, you can just press the space-bar to pause it, then press it again to resume play..;)

Ah ha! Ik! hmmmmmm I wonder why it did not come up under a Index Help search (using Pause, then I used Start etc).

Oh well, they cant index everything.

Thanks!

If you are showing your video on a large screen via a projector it would be best not to use the preview in VS unless you really have to as the quality of the video will be greatly reduced. Remember the preview window is exactly what it says "A preview". It is just a guide and does not reflect the quality final rendered video. The preview window in VS is not, IMHO one of its strong points!

that is good info... looks like I am hitting the ole II buttone on a DVD hooked to the projector.
Thanks
