Controlling overlay fade in/out VS11+

I have a fit to screen overlay on the video track.The overlay was filmed on a tripod and I have selected the fade in/out option to give the appearance of people appearing and disapearing in the clip when played back.Can I adjust the length of the fade I/O , if so how...........Ken

With the clip in the overlay track selected you will see a bar underneath the Preview Window, part of which will be blue. That represents the Pause Duration. Adjusting the triangular handles at either end of the blue bar will adjust the fade.

Selected the overlay
Bar turns a lighter blue
The shorter the bar the longer the fade duration
