All video filters suddenly missing from pro x2

Post by Sevendog »

12.0.98.1 pro
Vista Home Premium
Intel Core 2 Duo T9300 2.5ghz CPU
4GB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT
320GB HD w/ 41GB free space

My problem is that all of the video filters (like film look, anti-shake, mirror, etc.) have disappeared completely from the menu in VideoStudio. This feature was functioning fine until recently. In fact, I was using one of the filters in a current project, and then suddenly all of the filters are gone from the menu.

Filters that have been saved as part of a project still function, and can even be custom set via the attribute tab of the specific clip.

Any clues on how I can get those filters to show up in the drop-down menu again? All of the other menu items, like video, audio, color, transition, etc. all work fine. "Filters" even shows up on the drop-down, but the only sub-menu available is "all", and when that is selected, the pane where all the filter icons should be is just blank.

I hope I don't have to re-install.

Thanks for any help.

You can find the answer in the FAQs forum, or by doing a Search.

The fourth post, from TDK1044, is the easiest solution.

Nobody knows why it happens, but it's a problem VS has had for several versions.

Thanks for the reply and link to the info.

I followed the instructions there, and solved my problem!

I'm glad there was a fix that didn't require re-installation, and allowed me to save all my libraries.

Thanks again.
