First, can you confirm that it does not appear at the very bottom of the dropdown menu which appears when you click 'Share > Create Video File" -- that is where all my own custom templates appear. I know you said it does not appear, but I just wanted to confirm you have examined that dropdown menu in detail!

Movie template gone

Post by Ken Veal »

The list starts with "Same as project settings" and ends with "Custom"
Above custom are 2 settings which are identical to the 2 already in the
Movie Template Box under "Available Movie Templates"
When I went back to check this out my previously entered and named template was missing, I ve got a feeling I have not ticked a box somewhere...................Ken

Did you use Make Movie Template Manager under Tools, or did you just use Share > Create Video File > Custom?

And I don't think there are any boxes to actually tick! I just went to Tools > Make Movie Template Manager. In the dialogue box which appeared, I clicked the New button. Another dialogue box appears. You choose the format you want. Then give the new Template a name. Then press the OK button. Then the properties box with three tabs appears. You adjust the properties to what you want the new template to have. Then press OK again which takes you back to the original dialogue box. Your new template name should appear at the bottom of any others in the window in the top half of that box and its properties in the bottom window. If they are what you want, then press Close.

The next time you select Share > Create Video File, then your new template name should appear directly above 'Custom'. In fact, I just tested all these steps, and now have a new Template called 'Veal' above Custom!

However, if you just chose Share > Create Video File > Custom, then that is a once-only Customise. If you want it as a permanent template, you have to use Make Movie Template Manager.

Hi Kenneth

There has been a problem posted similar to this in the past. Maybe this will help
Did a search and found it here:- http://forum.corel.com/EN/viewtopic.php?t=28967

Extract from post
I had the same problem, and discovered there was a read only file that had to be changed.

This file is located in c:\documents settings\name (eg john cooper)\Application Data\Ulead Systems\Ulead VideoStudio\11.0

In there, there is a file called MovieTem.DAT.

If you right click, select properties, you may find that the READ ONLY option is checked, just uncheck it, and click OK. Closed down VS11, then reopen it.

Good Luck.
