I want to mute the soundtrack on my video clips so I can use my own
music soundtrack. I have been unable to do this by muting the entire video
soundtrack at the same time. How can I do this.

I am trying to mute my entire video scenes on the timeline at the same time so I can use my own music soundtrack.
So far I can only mute one scene at a time but not all in one step.
Please help.

You can click on the little speaker icon when you are in timeline view....or if you are certain you will not use the natural sound...split the audio from the video and delete.... there is no wholesale way of doing it unless you render your final edit into one piece of video and use either option I mentioned above...then add your own sound.

If you have a lot of individual clips it may be best to complete the editing, then render the project to a single file.
Using the new file, mute the sound, then add your own sound effects. Render again.
Otherwise mute each clip in turn.
It may be best to switch to ¡¥storyboard view¡¦ enlarge, allowing you to view a lot more clips.
