Upgrade to X2? Or will new version likely be out soon?

Post by DarthDennis »

I once upgraded to VS10 from VS9 and 3weeks later VS11 came out. My bad luck.

I am looking to upgrade from VS10 to x2pro and wanted to make sure there are no rumors of a pending update.

Thanks!

X2 only came out last September-ish. I haven't heard any rumors of a pending new release, nor would I expect to for some time.

I didn't think they would. Just wanted to be sure as I have not been on the forums for some time and out of the loop.

I will upgrade now.

Keep looking in Japanese site. That is where we got the sneak look at X12 ;) :)

I am now in the same position - just checking to see if there was any "new" news of a new release before I go ahead and upgrade....

TIA

No news of a release but they are discounting to 50% at the moment and that may indicate a desire to reduce inventory prior to a release.
Or, it may indicate a desire to placate a large groups of angry stockholders after having just released their latest figures!

Actually, I think that Corel is coming out with a new version in a couple of months for Windows 7. I recently took advantage of their price drop to buy v12. I had been using the trial version and the key didn't work to activate it. They told me that I had to uninstall the trial version first (although that is contrary to the directions on their web site). Anyway, I was told about the upcoming new version.
