VS X2: Does Not Recognize Canon HG10

Downloaded trial of VS X2 Pro and like the features. However, it will not recognize Canon HG10 AVCHD camcorder. Sony Vegas works great, but is too complicated. Corel 5.6 that comes with the Canon HG10 is pretty much useless for doing much. It does, however, recognize the Canon HG10. Looks like Corel would fix this problem in order to sell products like VS X2.

If you can capture using the Corel 5.6 (whatever that is), do so, then import the clips into X2 for editing.

I think kwhombre is referring to DVDMF 5.6, which is a special version created just for Canon.

It does, I use it it all the time. Here's how:
Connect the HG10 to the USB and AC adapter.
Open VS in the Full Editor. Click the Capture tag. Then choose Import Digital Media. In "Select a title"" click the "Import from Folder "tag.
In the browse for folder window look for "CANON_HDD ? Drive letter. This will open all the clpis on the camera's hard drive. Select the ones you want.
Hope this helps.
