Firewire Cards....Whats in Your PC?????

I learned early on from this board and others that one point
that can cause major problems in your video adventure is your
Firewire Card.
After lots of study, I settled on a SIIG 3 port Pci card that I bought
in Jan 2006. All the reviews and in Big Bold Letters on the box, it
said DV Compatable. It was one of SIIG's major selling points for
the card.
It was a easy install in my P4 XP machine and I never had any
capture problems with it. Worked great from VS7se up to VS11Plus
When I bought my Dell XPS Q6600 QuadCore Vista Home Premium
machine, I wanted to keep using the card (Why give up a sure thing)
but I could not comfirm that it was Vista Compatable. So I installed it
in the machine, powered it up and Vista Loved It.
It now captures video in VS12 Pro, but I must admit that its only had
Panasonic camcorders hooked up to it for dv capture, live capture and
as web cam.
So to take from the credit card commercial
Whats In Your PC!!!!
P.S. I know you are going to ask, but I can't tell you what model #
is without taking the computer apart....LOL
