Error code : 16803:1:2 `File Format Mismatch`

I have been using MF3 successfully for 3 months......however for some reason I now cannot import any files at all....mpeg-1, mpeg-2 etc to create a DVD. Some of thse files have been successfully imported previously. Even if I create brand new files, I cannot import them, I get the same message Error code : 16803:1:2 `File Format Mismatch`. I have reinstalled the software but still get the error. I have not made any changes to the PC or software configuration. Any ideas anyone ?
