I edit the audio in my AVCHD tracks by turning them into DV files in VS12, then taking them into Premiere 6.5 and doing my audio edits there. I also mark my in/out points. Kinda my own special akward smart proxy (I like 6.5).
Worked great for 1+ year in 11.5+ now in VS12 I add everything to the time line (muted MTS videos/the wavs saved from premiere/some logos/transitions/ect). I lock the timeline to the audio like always, but now when I try to add a transition between a .18 second white bmp (.09 second of the crossfade transition of the first video/audio track into the white bmp, and .09 second transition out of it - makes a nice quick white flash transition) one of the wav files disappears. It's when I add that second .09 second transition (in VS12 not 11.5+) that one of my wav files disappears!!!!! It's driving me nuts. BTW - if I put it together in 11.5+ and then open it in 12 then it's fine, although I haven't tried doing any extra editing after opening.
Audio Track Disappears from Timeline X2 Pro.

Wow.... dead on. Thanks. You saved my sanity. This is exactly the bug that I'm experiencing. I couldn't find it because I was searching for threads about audio disappearing. Hopefully others will be able to find this bug through my thread too.GeoffW wrote:You may have run into the VS12 bug documented here
COREL - I know you don't look at this board, but a bug fix would be nice before X3.

It can only be fixed if they know about it. Have you contacted Customer Support?COREL - I know you don't look at this board, but a bug fix would be nice before X3.
