Making your own Transitions

Hi
Is there a way to make your own transition from, say a BMP or jpeg or GIF? I have a logo for a company and I want it to be a transition inbetween every clip. If it's writing script or something, then forget it as far as my talent goes:)
Thanks.

Check in the free download area further down on the index of this forum. You'll find a link to some transitions called "burgers" One of the many transitions that are loaded is called "Logo". In VS 8 & 11.5+ as well as MSP 7 & 8 you can replace that image used in the transition with you own BMP file.

I understand that the burgers transtions work with VS12 also.

Hope this helps.

You can also just add your image file (BMP, GIF, PNG, JPEG, ect..) between your clips. You can add filters to enhance it, and just overlap with your clips, which will create a transition between your "logo" image clip and the adjacent clips. Just play around with it and you'll be surprised what you can create on your own, without using third-party programs such as Burgers.

With VS Pro, you can add transitions to any of the overlay tracks, so using the above method, you can place it on an overlay track. The clips on the main video track would be just straight cuts. Your overlay would overlap each clip. It's hard to describe precisely how this would work, however playing around with it, you'll soon get the idea...:)
