creating a WMV video file

Post by xkrndreamer »

i have the ulead video studio 8. a while ago i created a video wmv file that was 352x240 (the fps doesnt matter) and i wanted to create another one but i cant seem to find the option for it now.

does anyone know how to create a 352x240 WMV video file? please tell me the steps.

i would do it mpeg but whenever i create it, the file is threee times as big compared to the wmv.

i would really appreciated it if someone helped me. thanks.

Just select "Custom" instead of one of the existing templates, select WMV as the File Type in the next dialog, then click on Options to customize the output format.

but there is no option for the 352x240. i need that size. can you look it up for me?

and also when i put downloaded video clips and when im done rendering it, the video picture size becomes smaller. but if i just put video clips in from my digital video camera then the size is what i set it to. weird.

Do what I said -- take one of the existing templates that is close to what you wish to do, copy it, and modify the output size to your liking.

Try this:

Go to "Create Video File", and select "Custom" at the bottom of the list. In the dialog that appears, change the File Type to "WMV". Click on the Options button. You can now choose a WMV profile.

If none of those templates match your needs, you can modify and/or copy them. One of the things you can specify when you modify the profile are the output dimensions. Set them according to your needs, and then make sure that you select the profile you just modified in the drop-down list that sets the encoding profile.
