Deleted Thumbnails From The Video Library....

Post by hrpufnstuf65 »

... ones that I've manually added. When I delete them, where exactly do they go, and is there a way to retrieve them? Thanks for any help!

They're not retrievable.

The thumbnails in the library are just virtual clips, linked to the files on the hard drive.
When you delete the thumbnail the files on the hard drive still remain, unless you hold ¡¥shift¡¦ whilst deleting, then you are prompted to remove the actual files.

If you manually added them, then where from, cos they should still be there. (on your hard drive.)

... And if you have not actually deleted the main video file, as well as its thumbnail, then all you have to do is right click in the Library pane, select 'Insert Video', navigate to wherever the video file is located, select it, and a new thumbnail of it will be created.
