Hi Steve.... finally had a chance to work on this "fix!" Thanks for your advice.... I followed all your instructions and it SOLVED the problem. However.... I was not able to load back in the application data. When I put the application data back, I got the dreaded ULEAD MOVIE FACTORY screen AGAIN on Share/Create Disk. Evidentally it was something in that Application Data folder that was causing the problem. Fortunately I had backed up all my libraries into individual video/image/title and audio projects and just copies the libraries back the long way. I have begun work on a project yet....but for the moment all seems to be working well.
I guess I won't ever figure out why this happened and I hope I never see it again. Your "short-cut" for doing a re-install however was a big help.

Glad you got it fixed.

On a PC with Win XP HE, I had the same problem with DVD Movie Factory 4 trying to start when creating a DVD from VS11.5. A lot of trial and error solved the problem. It was caused by the VS 9 SE and DVD MovieFactory 4 than came as bundled program suite with a Pioneer DVR-R100 DVD burner. There were several other software programs too but I didn't use them.

The trouble with this VS9 SE suite is that everything installed. I had only needed some of the disc utilities. So I uninstalled this suite completely: VS 9 SE, MovieFatory 4 NovaStor backup, and PictureShow. So although I put VS 11.5 on again, there must have been left over Registry entries that stopped VS11.5 from working correctly and caused a phantom MovieFactory screen appear over the VS11.5 program.

To get quickly get rid of what I suspected caused this problem, I backuped my hard drive and reinstalled everything except for the Pioneer's bundled software suite. All is fine now.
