Rendering takes forever and then I find out that when it gets to the end of the video it doesn't just go back to the main menu rather it starts to play all over again. What am I doing wrong?

No, you can't assume that . I never saw where that setting is.

I rendered my first video and this looping happened and then I had to do some more edits and searched the different menus knowing it must be somewhere but had no luck finding the setting. Then I had to render the edited version because I was showing the video at a family gathering - knowing that it would still have a looping problem.

If you you point me to the menu item it would be highly appreciated. Then I will fix it and render it all over again so I can give copies to family members.

At the bottom left of the window that comes up when you click Create Disk there is a little cog wheel symbol. Click that, uncheck Auto repeat when disc playback ends, that will enable the Clip Playback option. Click the black down arrow head and check "Back to Menu"

I can't believe that I didn't see that before and I was even wearing my glasses. It was probably because I was concentrating on the edits and only realized just before rendering that I haven't figured out the looping issue.
