Having Problem Using PowerPoint2002 with Movie Factory 3

Why is it that my animations on my PowerPoint slide dont work when I insert them in the Movie Factory? Are they not compatible, or am I supposed to save them when Im in PP to a specific file type? Normally, I save as .jpeg.

Ive been experimenting with animation as I create movies for family on special occasions and certainly the animations would add to the enjoyment.
