Transparencies won't work

Post by jparnold »

I have a 2 colour DVD logo which I want to paste over an existing photo which I will then print as a DVD label.
The DVD logo is BLACK and the background was WHITE but I did a flood fill to change it from WHITE to PURPLE.
When I use EXPORT > GIF OPTIMISER then set the background color (purple) to be transparent it shows as transparent in the 'after' image but when I SAVE and load that image it it totally black.
What am I doing wrong?
Thanks
