Strange HDV problem on X2

In Videostudio X2 I tried importing HDV from my Sony HDR-HC1 and it appears reddish with all the highlights blown out. I downloaded Vegas 9 trial and it imports and plays fine.
I think I have some codec issue - any ideas on how to fix? I have all the settings in the camcorder correct for HDV export....

Wonder if it's a video driver issue.
Do you have a separate video card?
I have an ATI X1650pro which reverses colours in certain wmv files if I try to play them in a media player on my pc. I think that's a driver problem for my AGP video card.
You might make sure to load the latest video drivers.
You might also try capturing your HDV footage with another program, such as HDV Split, freeware, which allows you to split your capture by scene.
Then try importing that into X2 and see if you experience the same problem.
If you try rendering some of the problem video to a video file, does that video file suffer from the same colour errors?
That's it!

Setting on Nvidia 8400M GT were way off - strangely only affected the old HDV footage and not AVCHD or MPG.
I also noticed some "shearing" of the video with the old settings on the card.
Thanks!!
