I know the Board is on the main Corel site but the Board could be configured for separate FTP access.
Actually, the forum is on a server in Taiwan and, though it calls itself Corel, is still using the same Ulead server that has always been used.
Corel's main server at
www.corel.com is apparently hosted in Herdon, Virginia, by Beyond the Network America Inc.

Thanks for that info but as forum.corel.com is a sub domain of corel.com can they be on different servers?

Have just done a bit of research and got things slightly wrong. Here's a reply I had from a techie forum:
Subdomain content can reside on any other server, you just have to link/forward it there. You can set up the subdomain on any server you want, then from the maindomain server, forward the subdomainname to the IP of the other server.

And I think that is exactly what Corel does with the forum.

I think that just about finishes the subject. Thanks for your replies Jeff, if only all international communications could be so friendly. The politicians have a lot to learn from Forum users, methinks!
