flash animation problems

Post by lotus »

Just received videostudio 9 ( I needed something more of a
challenge than windows moviemaker) - this program much more
difficult to master. Just tinkering with various options - when I
try to use flash animation - I can't get it to work. I drag flash
animation to overlay track. I can't get it to extend to length of
short videos that came with program. I can't get animation to drag to the entire length of video. What am I doing wrong? I've been trying
to conquer this bit of task for the last 4 hours and getting frustrated.
Thanks for any help.

extend the length?

I'm not sure you can extend the length of the included animations, but you can add multiple copies to the overlay track. I think I saw that wit hthe Sample Project they included...

George is correct, keep adding the same clip in the overlay track for the proper length. Depending on what you want to accomplish, you could also take an image of the flash and extended it.

Hi,

You might be able in the overlay track to hold Shift and drag the edge of the clip.

This just makes "Slow Motion" of the animation, and might not look as good as just adding additional content.

If it is just a second or two, it might fit the bill.

Thanks for all the input - I'll give it a try this evening.

I noted that everytime I clicked a flash animation my monitor would
appear black and all other thumbnails in other categories had a
visual. I've had problems with losing my "flash" on and off on
my computer. Went to macromedia.com to check my flash and sure
enough it wasn't working. Downloaded flashplayer and my
vs9 flash animations started working - no more black screen. I can
see my butterlies move across the screen. :D
