Greetings,
I am using X2 PRO on Windows XP. I am unable to locate the ISO image burning software, which usually get included in the installation package. I contacted Corel support and I was told that this staftware should be available under "Bonus applications" section in the installation menu. The installation program only display 1 bonus app, that is "Win DVD 8". I tried uninstalling and reinstalling X2 PRO 3 times but still unable to locate Image burning software.
Can you plase help me find a way to identify and install ISO image burner for VS PRO X2? Also can you please suggest any other good ISO image burning freeware?
Regards,
Niraj

Welcome to the forums!

Unfortunately, they seem to have discontinued the previous image burning software which used to come with VS, up to (I think) VS 10. It did not work with Vista, apparently. I thought with X2 Pro, however, you should have received in the bundle a copy of Corel DVD Copy 6 which apparently can burn ISO files, though I confess I have never tried. (I tend to burn to DVD Folders i.e. Video_TS, and use Nero to burn those to DVD. Nero and Roxio will also burn ISO files to disc.)
I am unable to recommend any freeware since I have never used any for this purpose. Hopefully, someone else will be able to.

Freeware ISO burners
Freeware programs for burning ISO file to disc:
Nero CD-DVD Speed (part of the Nero toolkit if you already have Nero) or available as a free download from the Nero site. It has the advantage of giving a permanent record of the burn strategy adopted by your DVD burner, and can also be used to check the write quality of your burned discs, which you can read if you have a suitable DVD drive. Suitable makes are NEC, Liteon, BenQ, Samsung (though the latter only after a small registry fix)
Imgburn - excellent compact program that also allows you to change the disc label.
In the days of VS8, there was talk of the Ulead ISO burning program somehow fixing audio out of sync issues and other things, and therefore being in some way preferable to other burning programs, but I think that was just hocus pocus and I never saw any difference in the burned discs.
