Keeping the magic alive once in Videostudio

Appologies for creating a new thread, however im sure there must be someone out there who would know the answer, and seeing as my last thread died a death.

It is relevant to Videostudio. That all-important quality issue. When, using Particleillusion i want to add a few effects/titles to video in PI programme..using AVI and then HAVING to use compresslayers? option to get a Alpha transparency background..the quality isnt the best when comes into VS.

Now, I wont go on and on...if no-one knows fair enough. Although surprised as this programme is wonderful to add to videos..shame didnt hear about it before or been recommended sooner to me.

Just want to know, when importing either effects on a Alpha background...or indeed just a regular background - does anyone know the best way i can do this saving quality. On youtube another video programme was mentioned, to save into, however cant for the life of me figure how to get that programme into the dropdown list in PI for me to save into.

Rant over. Fingers crossed

Frankly, I think this is a ParticleIllusion issue. You are asking technical questions about a product that, apparently, nobody on this forum uses. If I have problems with my Digital Juice effects I go to the DJ forum, not the VS forum.

Have you checked the ParticleIllusion forum, FAQs or tutorials?

I don't want to go too far with this thread... we're treading on thin water already here, but as I said you may have to look at another program because I'm not sure VS can do what you're asking from it..... it's a consumer level program. Most people who get into PI are those looking at higher levels of production. This water screen clip for example was done with PI... bit it was projected directly from the time line from within another program.

When I use PI I export as uncompressed avi at 1920x1080 (with alpha channel checked) and I'm using the high def emitters
