Not sure if anyone can help with this but I upgraded from MF5 to MF6plus
yesterday for $39 online.
I had the trial version installed and the instructions said not to reinstall
the program just insert the 19 digit number including one hyphen off the email confirmation.
What they are calling the Serial Number/Purchase Key is actually 20 characters and contains two hyphens.
Inserting this on the blue flash screen for selecting trial or register I get an invalid # error. I've tried it every way possible.. with and without hyphens... with one hyphen.. no go.
Any suggestions?
Upgrade SN/Registration won't take

Yes, I did. That's what I'm talking about.
You have the option each time you start MF6 it to either Buy, Activate or Try... for 30 days. I'm on Day 2 of the trial period.
Now that I have paid my money I'm at the Activate stage. I placed the code I received with my order email and it will not accept it.

Then I'm afraid you need to contact Corel Customer Care. This is nothing new, Corel seems to mess up even the littlest of things...
I wish they would stop using the activation process for the TBYBs. It causes people more problems than it is worth. We highly recommend against activating trial versions. It is better to purchase the full/upgrade, download your purchased program. Uninstall the TBYB, then install the purchased copy. The serial numbers provided with them seem to work most of the time.

That's why it's not working. You did not purchase an activation key, but the upgrade version. You need to uninstall the TBYB, install the upgrade, then the Serial number provide should work fine...Scooterspal wrote:OK.
Then I guess I will remove this trial and install the version linked to in the email I received.
Will advise if that works.

I just wanted to add that the "full version" file was almost twice the download size of the TBYB trial version. That was due to the 20 odd additional music tracks and the rest of the menus.
I cannot, for the life of me, understand why Corel/Ulead would tell the customer to keep the trial version loaded since it was missing all the additional components they had paid for.
