Whenever i go to save to flv. the box comes up to load across - except it just stays at 0% the whole time (tried for an hour - tried MANY times with all dif. videos)

I tested the videos and they save perfectly to mpg. or avi.

its just flv.

how do i get it to save to flv.?

never had this problem in the past :/

*** I just tried OPENING a flv. file and it said file mismatch or something..

its like a problem everything to do with flvs.

Have you by any chance loaded a mega codec pack? Some users have reported problems with .flv files when they load such packs. Unloading the pack resolved the issue in their case.

And if you do a Search using .flv as the search parameter, you will see that you are not alone.

is it possible to find out some how.??

i have downloaded a ton of programs this past day to try and convert it other ways.. even including other video programs.. but none of them can do the good with quality.. so there might be a chance i have there.

KLite is one of the more popular mega-codec packs downloaded. There are others too. You could do a Google search for Codec packs to see the various packs, and then look in your Control Panel>Add/Remove Programs for them, or search your computer.

VS will not play FLV files, just creates them.

To add to Ron's comment, once the file is created, and you have a compatible flash player installed on your computer, if you click on the file in VS library window, it will open the Window and play the file. But as Ron says, VS itself will not play it. It will play flash animations, but not flash video. And don't ask us why this is so ... as we don't work for Corel and thus can't explain... Sorry.

My guess as to why it will not play FLV is that Corel only incorporated half of the CODEC into VS, that being the COmpressor. There's no DECompressor included with VS. Kinda like having only 4 cylinders out of 8 needed to run your car...;)

I use the freebie Applian FLV Player to playback my FLV files.
