Hi there. My brother made an awesome slideshow for my parents for Christmas. It plays on his DVD player, it plays on my DVD player, but will not play on theirs. Since the disc played fine in his player, he deleted all of the saved work from his computer. I have a copy of the slideshow on VCD. Is there a way I can load all of the information on this disc into Pictureshow? I essentially want to reload all the information (without redoing everything), change the output format and have it come out as DVD files instead of VCD. I've seen a couple of methods for converting VCD to DVD (involving programs like TMPGenc and IsoBuster) but they did not work for me.
Is there some sort of image file I could make using Nero or another program that could be burnt to a DVD and play as a DVD? I realize the audio format is not the same, and needs to be extracted and transcoded, but maybe some program has that feature built in?
It's very frustrating to have the finished product right here in my hands, yet not be able to load it into the same program that created it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Output was VCD instead of DVD. I need to change that... how?

Cierlan,
Had your brother included project file on DVD? If he had clicked the check box on the Output Options dialog box before burning, then you can right click and browse the DVD to find out the project file of the slideshow, but unfortunately the include project file check box is unchecked by default...
The other choice is to create a new project and select “New Video Slideshow”, the import the avi (or dat) file from your VCD, and then you can select output format to DVD and burn.

It might play on their DVD player if there is an otion to enable PBC. Also if you know their make and model DVD player, you might be able to find a "sectrtet code" to enable VCD playing.
If that fails, upgrade the audio from 44.1 to 48 and although the video is 352X240 (assuming NTSC) it can be made into a standard DVD.
