X2 Installation Question

I am about to install X2 on a new Dell PC with Vista Home Premium SP1. I noted that the installation procedure suggests that I install DirectX from the CD as well. My concern is that if I do, I will be overlaying a more current version of DirectX that is already on the PC.

Hi Pete

There have been problems with VS that has been fixed by installing the latest Direct X from the Microsoft web site.
Even though you may think you have the latest version, reinstall Direct X from Microsoft.
