Support for VST plugins

Greetings:
I was hoping a Video Studio X2 guru(s) can help me. I was wondering if Video Studio X2 supports VST plugins. I would like to get Sound Soap Pro, which is a plug in to many well known video editing programs, I am not sure if Video Studio X2 supports these plugins however. Please let me know if it does, and if not oes anyone know of a good low cost or free program that does support VST plug ins.

Yes, I have some VST plug-ins that I found in our Free Stuff section and they work great.

OK, so when I get Soundsoap Pro it will be a .VST I assume...how do I access it in Video Studio? What are the steps for me to use it there? Thank you for the quick response.

I was hoping for more of a response on this Soundsoap issue. I know some of you must use programs like Soundsoap which are solely plugin based under the VST folder. My main question is...what is supposed to happen when you start Video Studio up? Does the plugin start automatically? Is there a separate window that is displayed upon Video Studio startup? I know I have many questions here, but I dropped a nice sum for this and really want to use in Video Studio. Thank you again.

Sorry that we're not all here to instantly answer you.

I don't really remember the installation routine or if I just copied it there, but my VST folder is in the aft_plug folder. When I click on the Audio Filter button they are all listed there.

Other plug-ins, like the Adorage effects plug-in that was recently discussed here, actually open a separate application when they are chosen. I'm not sure how Sound Soap is supposed to work.

You should also note that not all plug-ins are compatible with all editing apps.

Darn, I really hope I didnt purchase this and it wont work I will be very unhappy. I put the DLL's in the folder you spoke of and when I open my Video Studio I go to the Audio tab and do not see anything different than what is already been there. I assume when you say audio filter you meant the audio tab at the top, or perhaps I am really dense (probably the case).

Ok, im thick...I got it! Success thanks to you! I found out that if you want to edit an audio clip you go to the audio filter like y ou spoke of (stupid me) and add whatever filters you want to the sound...thank you soooooooo much!

First, make sure VS is closed before you copy the DLLs to the folder. Then you can open VS.

Yes, when you click on the Audio Tab you will see the Audio Filter button. You must have a sound file in one of the audio tracks for the Audio Filter button to work. If the audio is still part of the video clip you must use Split Audio.

Again, I am not familiar with Sound Soap so I don't know how it works.

VS is a fine video editor, but not so much when it comes to audio. These types of audio filter plug-ins are a nice addition. I happen to use these FREE ones, found in our Free Stuff section.

OK, now that I can edit the filters I have a simple one I think. I edit the audio portion and select OK for the filter to take effect, but the issue I have is, when I take the place marker to the beginning of the time line and start the project preview it does not allow the audio filter to take effect in the Project Preview. If I just highlight the audio portion that has the filter and choose project and start I hear the audio filter fine...why does it not show up when I run the entire object from the beginning of the time line, but does allow the audio filter to work if I project preview each audio filter clip???
