I do a lot of CAD work on my pc, and always use a black background. I know what I like and dislike in a program, and I still dislike the graphite colour scheme. It's come about just to make it seem somehow similar to Corel's other products, like Paint Shop Pro, and to my mind it has an adverse effect on my productivity at least. Happy to see I'm not alone in this view Will! I still have VS11.5 on my laptop, and find it much more pleasing to work with visually.Black Lab wrote:I really dislike the graphite colour scheme of VS12 - anyone know how to change it?From Videomaker Magazine:Just as a matter of interest can I change the idiotic grey on black font that the audio track etc use, and I can't get the audio editor to kick in but I sure it will.So it makes sense (to me) to have a gray color scheme in your video editing software. It is ideal to work in a dark room while editing and color correcting. Glare on the monitor can alter the perceived contrast. If you prefer to work with some light, all lamps in the room should be daylight balanced. Normal household bulbs give off a yellowish tint, again altering perceived contrast. And if you really want to have the most calibrated video signal on your block, paint the walls of your editing room a neutral gray. (Entire article HERE)
Since I believe you can disable the graphite scheme in Paint Shop Pro, I think it would be most sensible for corel to give VS users colour options too.
