Alludo USER to USER Web Board

This has been happening since I first installed the program and I ignored it for a while, but now it's bugging me!

Whenever I close down Ulead VideoStudio 11 Plus after saving my project, I get an error block that says: Ulead has stopped working. There are then two options: to search for and fix the problem and close, or to close. There is a drop down block under this info and the first line says APPCrash.

It doesn't matter whether I use the exit under File or if I click the X. And then if I want to reopen Ulead, it doesn't open. I have to reboot. At which time it will ask me if I want to recover my project. Even though I carefully saved it and don't need to recover it.

What am I doing wrong or what do I need to do to otherwise fix this?

Hi fossil...this happens to me occasionally and I just ignor it and then choose to not recover next time I use VS.

This only seems to happen to me when I go do a search on the internet while I have VS running.

I've never been able to eliminate it completely. It is a pain but it's not effecting the project so we have that to be thankful for

It has been mentioned on the Web Board a few times, I don't think we have found a cure. Like Clevo - whenever I see that message I just ignore it.

It doesn't affect the project, but it's sure a pain to have to reboot if I want to reopen it.

Otherwise, it's a pretty good program.

Also, sorry if I reposted a question from previously! Even though I did a search, I probably didn't word my problem quite correctly.

You don;t need to re-boot the PC... just dont; close VS till you have finished editing for the day.

Turn off PC when you go to bed.

There was a workaround mentioned here that seems to do the trick. Before closing VS make sure you clear the timeline by choosing File>New Project. Whenever I remember to do that I don't have the crashing problem.

... And instead of rebooting, I have found that you can go to Task Manager > Processes, and find the Vstudio entry and turn it off there. Then you can restart the program from the icon.

This "hanging" can also be an effect of a virus/malware infection - try to scan your entire system with a reliable updated antivirus program.

I will try the task manager option as well as running a total scan. I don't use this Windows laptop other than for Ulead so I'm not up with all the ins and outs of Windows. I prefer my Linux laptop.
