I have videostudio 12 and made a dvd with menu using the create dvd menu choice. It takes a good 15-20 minutes to burn the cd and if I want to burn another one just like it on another day, is there a way to save that info without having to go through that whole rendering process again.
I guess I could rip the info from the resultant dvd and save it on my hard drive, but I was wondering if videostudio had a way to save that info. It seems the menu rendering is what takes much of that time.

Hi
Do you mean you used Share--Create Disc¡XDVD
From the last page select the two down pointing arrows on the right side.
This should expand the options view.
Hear you can select to create a DVD Folder or a Disc Image.
These are saved to the hard drive and used to burn additional copies.

Next time tick the check box that also creates an .iso file as it burns to disk.
You will end up with a disc you burnt plus an iso file you can use to make copies

Personally, I burn to folders then use Nero's Burn Image to Disc function.

Hi tachy
I normally use the ISO¡X(disc Image)
Earlier versions of Video Studio installed a VCD DVD Disc Image Recorder as part of the VS install.
Open this program from the start menu.
I believe VS 12 provides the program but on the Extra Content disc.
I do not have VS 12 (X2) but I am sure others will confirm this, or not.
TS folders need a third party program (nero) to burn a disc, as mentioned by Jeff.

I checked my videostudio disk and could find no dvd program. I bought the package with paint shop pro ultimate, photo x2 and videostudio pro x2 bundle.
I do have roxio home that came with my vaio laptop loaded but have never used it so do not know if it can use these files.

Hi tachy,
When you render the finished product under the "Share" tab and select to burn a DVD that actually IS the DVD burning module.
If you chose to burn a DVD AND create an iso file then later all you would have to do would be to open VS and go straight to the Share tab. From there select to burn a DVD and use that interface to import your previously created iso file. (of course you remember where you put it..right?)

Hi
I do not think you can open an Iso file using Video Studio, unless X2 has this option.
You have to use the VCD-DVD Disc Image Recorder, otherwise use a third party program, ie nero
I have access to a Viao laptop, will try Iso using roxie, will let you know
edit
Roxie Easy Media Creator shows a Burn Image icon on the home page.
Browse your hard drive for an Iso file, the program will burn this to DVD.
At least thats what i see.

Oh yes! That would totally be my brainfade there!
The DVD burning module does not accept iso files. Yes I was thinking of the VCD-DVD disc Image Recorder usually available from the Windows Start Menu in the Video Studio folder.
