Can anyone tell me why Paintshop Pro XI does not appear to support .CPT files either as a "load" or "save" option?
Is it available in X2?
Thank you
Ian

Welcome to the forums,
CPT (Corel PhotoPaint) files are proprietary working files, just like psp files are with PaintShop Pro. It seems a little odd that since Corel has owned PSP for several years now, they have not included this. It is more strange since you can open PSP image files in PhotoPaint, but can not open PhotoImpact (UFO) files in PhotoPaint or PSP.
Sorry I can not tell you why, other than it's Corel logic (or lack thereof)...

Thanks for that, and my welcome to the Forum.
I shall, as you suggest, just put it down to Corels lack of logic.
Perhaps some day someone will let us all know why Corel take over so many products (most of which were good and headed toward being a successful programme) and then proceed to downgrade them or totally destroy them.
Are they not aware that customer satisfaction is key to long term success?

It's not are they aware, but more Do they really care... Not so much. I don't think that Corel is aware that they have created a personna of destruction. Like you said, every good program they get their hands on, they wreck...
I had purchased Jasc Paintshop Pro 9 just before Corel acquired Jasc, and really like the program. The only other version of PSP I have is PSP x2. Having both, I can really see what Corel has done...

They may (possibly) notice when they wake up one morning and find we (All Corel users) have cleared off and found other equally good, or better, programmes, technical support and Customer services!
The last two will not be difficult to find as, in my opinion, their tech support is APALLING, and their Customer Service is usually handled in a pompous and supercilious manner.
