If I try to export a project to WMV 1280x720, the resulting file is 208x160! It turns out that I'm not the only one with this problem, as several people have mentioned it in the comments of this video:

Why might this be happening? Could it be that other codecs or programs installed on my PC are causing this problem? I don't recall everything that I've installed, but I know I have FFDshow and VLC player installed, and I may have the K-Lite codec pack installed. Any help you could offer would be appreciated.
WMV export is broken for me. Please advise.

Thanks for the suggestion. I installed the updated DirectX, but it did not help. However, I think I solved my problem. I noticed that in dialog box for the WMV 720p export, the WMV profile was listed as "Windows Media Video 8 for Color Pocket PCs (225 kbps)". That hardly sounds like a 720p high def format! I then went to the "Custom" export, went to Options for WMV format, and I looked at all the available WMV profiles. Well, none of them were for HD. I created a new profile with 1280x720 resolution and 5000 Kbps bit rate, and it worked!
This raises the question: Why do some of us not have HD WMV profiles available by default?
