1.Clips play in a flash. 2. Cannot proceed to DVD burning

1.Clips play in a flash.
I have recently just purchased UleadVideoStudio 11.5 plus. After capturing the clips I need for my video I find that on clip playback, no matter what size of the clip, the whole clip flashes through literaly in milli-seconds. This also happens when playing rendered Project preview. The only way I can get the clip to play at a sensible speed is to alter the Playback speed to 99% slow. While I can live with this for clip playback I cannot do anything about Project Preview where the whole project plays in seconds.

2. Cannot proceed to DVD burning
After creating my video file & proceeding through to 'Create disc' the screen sticks on the 'Project view' page, even though the 'Next' button is blacked.

In both cases I have tried the 'Repair' function that comes with software CD and also un-install/re-install activity to no avail. Also I have loaded the latest version of Direct-x. Anybody any ideas?

And, what file format? (If it's AVI we need the details. AVI is a "container" or "wrapper" format, and it can use any type of compression.)

There is probalby something "wrong" with your video file, or there's something about the file that Video Studio doesn't "like".

Does the file play OK in Windows Media Player? If so, you can try converting the file to MPEG-2 with SUPER (FREE!!!)
