Hello and good day to everyone. First of all I would like to apologize for my bad English. Anyway I¡¦m new on this forum and also a newbie on video editing. Anyway I just got my copy of Corel VideoStudio Pro x2 a couple of days ago and before that I was just simply using windows movie maker. Anyway I don¡¦t know if it is just me or is it Corel VideoStudio x2 have no save option for WMV 640x480 ? I think I spent like an hour looking for it but I really can¡¦t find it. The WMV 340x240, 30fps quality is not really good enough. I also tried using the mpeg-4 640x480 but the file size is kind of big. Before on windows movie maker I¡¦m able to save WMV format and the resolution is 640x480 and the file size is just around 20mb. (3-4minute video) anyway if WMV 640x480 is not available is there any other file type or saving option that I could use with 640x480 resolution and the file size is around maybe 15mb-20mb? I tried WMV Zune 640x480 but dunno whats up with this one everytime I use this it just got worst than WMV 340x240

Anyway the video I¡¦m making are just picture slide shows for now because I¡¦m still on the learning stage :D

Also on the user interface I can¡¦t seem to find the ¡§Help¡¨ on Corel VideoStudio.

Thanks in advance.

Your English is better than some that were born and raised in the U.S.!

When you go to Share>Create Video File you will find Custom at the bottom of the list. Choosing that you can probably set your WMV to 640 x 480.

Thank for the reply.

I've tried what you said but when I choose the save as type WMV I can't really change the resolution. its just 340x240 or lower. but on the MP4 it is possible to make it 640x480 but i dont know what configuration or setting to choose from.

basically even what i need maybe any format that can be played by youtube or any other players on the net like multiply and etc even if it is not WMV just as long as its 640x480 and file size maybe 15-20mb just like windows movie maker :)

edit
i was able to use the FLV 640x480 and it only used up about 18mb but of course MP4 or WMV format would be much better.

When I upload I just use an MPEG-2 file. YouTube is going to recode it anyway, so I just send them the best file available.

i had the same question when I loaded videostudio x2 about 3 weeks ago. I was using the downloaded trial version from the internet and I could not find any version of file save that would give me wmv 640V480.

Using the zune 640X480 did only result in 320X240 resolution every time I chose it.

I then un-installed my demo version and bought a store version and loaded from cdrom.

Interesting enough, the zune now worked correctly and there were now choices under custom that allowed other 640x480 choices. (such as neptune best, and ulead best choices.

Also, after uninstalling and installing the store version, for some reason the new version did not show any avi divx choices, and for some reason I had to "repair" the installation and then the divx choices showed up.

Not sure what was going on there?
