adding transitions to movie factory 3.0

Can anybody tell me how to add transitions to movie factory 3.0. I am trying to set up a dvd of my wedding and it has four chapters each showing as a button on the menu of the dvd. I want to add a transition at the beginning and the end of each chapter so that it will fade into one and out of the same on to fade into the next chapter. I have tried following the instructions for the program but it wants me to move ahead a little in each video to allow the transition to be added and it doesn't fade in, it shows some then fades and continues with the video. It does the same thing at the end of each. I'm stuck!!!!!!!!
