Hello,
I am using Video Studio 11plus. I have installed all the hotfixes, patches and updates existing for the Program including DirectX_August 2007_redist, after having problems creating chapters in the DVD-Authoring menu.
After reinstalling the Programm on a new PC with Windows XP SP 3 and rendering a video, I suddenly can not even start the DVD-Authoring-assistent. The Programm hangs itself up and I have to force the PC to end the program.
Any help for my problem?

Also, you may want to re-check your DirectX. The latest version is
November 2008.

I updated DirectX with no effekt.
After starting the program, I start the Video Studio Editor. After importing video files and go the edit-step I can press the button to make a video-file. This works fine.
After this work ist done, and importing the rendered video-file, I now want to press the button to make a disk.
From now on it lasts about 4 seconds, then a error message appears: "a error occured, drwtsn.32 exe has to be enden". Then the program hangs and can not be closed.
Even after a restart of the PC and the program, and not importing any video-file, going once more to the edit step and pressing the "disc make-button" the same error-message shows up.

"a error occured, drwtsn.32 exe has to be enden"
This is is an error/debugging program, Dr. Watson, that is included with Windows XP. For some reason you're having a problem, not only with VS, but with Dr. Watson.
Since you're able to create a video file from your project, but VS falls over when trying to open the burn module, I would be interested in knowing if you have any other DVD authoring programs installed, that has a Drag-to-disc, or Drag and Drop burning application. Corel does have such a utility called
Quick Drop, that comes with DVD MovieFactory. Nero and Roxio also provide such utilities. The problem with them, is that they can hi-jack your DVD burner, and not allow any other programs to have access..

Yes, I have installed NERO.
But I was finally able to open the "make disk"-menu:
After starting VS, I pressed the button " Movie-Assistant" instead of "Video Studio-Editor". After importing my rendered Video-File, I was guided to a new sheet, where I was able to start the "Create Disc"-button and it worked perfect.
It seemes there is somewhere a problem when I try to start the Cisc Creator directly from the Video Studio Editor?
