PANIC - PANIIIIIIC - Whats HAPENNIN??????

Post by Screwball »

I am working on a new project and clicked on my UVS 11 icon and this is what it said:-
This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information.

I have done nothing different since last use. Have installed no other programmes. Have spent all yesterday trying to solve but got nowhere When I entered the error message above in google, there are about 2 zillion with the same prob. Don't suppose there is anyone here who has had this experience and effected a cure?

Has windows installed any updates?
Have you uninstalled anything?

Try system restore back to when it was last working.

Otherwise unistall VS and ensure you have removed every last bit of the app, (don't just use add/remove programmes) and then reinstall.

You might possibly benefit from installing the Nov 2008 DirectX update, if you haven't already installed it. Some Windows updates seem to have a nasty habit of messing up DirectX.

Adding to 2dogs post the problem gets compounded if the OS is Vista
