Pro X2 - Losing audio track and titles

A search didn't readily reveal this problem being asked before (at least not obviously), so here goes . . .

Using Pro X2 - 12.0.98.1 and making a separate little intro file for a project. Separate project, separate video.

When I load the project the audio track and titling are on the time lines. When I go to make changes - adding a color chip to the end and inserting a crossfade between it and the next to last object (a bitmap) - the audio and titling go <poof> and disappear.

It's happened 4 times in a row. I've re-booted twice and it still happens.

I have absolutely no idea where to look to see what is causing this.

Any ideas or possible solutions/work arround?

Many TIA . . .

Okay, I knew as soon as I posted it I would figure something out!

That next to last object I was putting the transition between it and the last object - the color chip - was only 15 frames in duration. Apparently when the 30 frame transition was inserted it would balk because the bitmap wasn't long enough. By increasing the duration of the bitmap to something more than 15 frames (1 sec 15 frames) I was then able to then insert the transition without losing the objects on the other tracks.

I know, I just KNOW, that's not the first time I've made that mistake (using VS since 1999!) but that's the first time I've seen that result.

Go figure. :?

BUT, I encountered another problem so will research that and post it if can't find an answer.

Problems, I got a million of them!

Please see this similar thread, and it's workaround.
