Audio From Video?

Post by Jimmy Bones »

Hi there. :)

I'm new to the Corel Videostudio program, and I have a video project I've been working on.

I pulled it off a mini DV camera, and added some titles and fancy stuff to it (it's a video of my band practice), but it turns out that the file is too large for my intermittent internet connection to upload to myspace or youtube.

So, I was wondering if there was any way to take the audio track from my file (I still have the project file on top of the avi file) and pull it completely away from the video and turn it into a straight audio file.

Could you guys gimme a hand?

Thanks. :)

Easy. With your project in the timeline go to Share>Create Audio File. This will create a wav file of whatever audio is in the project.

Oh, gee whiz, staring me right in the face.

Thanks a lot. :)

[EDIT:] Oh, and if anybody is interested, the song I was working on can be heard on my myspace page: http://www.myspace.com/jimmybonesbass - it's the one called 'Black Rose.' :)
