Wait to long while creating a video

Could anyone help me to solve this problem.
1st of all, im using Ulead VideoStudio 8 to edit my videos and this is my 1st time doing editing. To be honest, i know nothing about editing and the software but i eagerly want to learn. I had search through internet to solve it but still i cant find the resource.
Ok, my problem is after i edited my video, is about 9 min length, and have to wait about 50min!
i wonder is there anywhere to make it "faster" or it have to be like this.
Please help me!
