We all know that VS does not like MP3 audio format.
In my case VS either refuses to succesfully render a project with MP3 sound files, crashes or even loses some files during the edit process.
When saving a project in VS X2 Pro in the VS 10 format, half of the MP3 sound is always gone. (I do this for using VS 10 to transfer back edited HD video to Canon HV20 camcorder (thanks again, Ken).
Many of us use and need to use MP3 because much of the music and sound in general is available in this format, sometimes exclusively.
What is strange is that on all 3 computers with VS installed which I used, the Ulead MP3 codec was always installed in the system but always disabled.
Did anyone experiment with enabling and using the Ulead MP3 codec?
Is there a recommendation how to work around this MP3 issue in VideoStudio?

Actually, it is only some MP3 types, most notably those of the LAME codec, that cause problems. I use MP3s created by iTunes and they work fine.
