Saved Project File-Format Hard Drive

Post by mark9422 »

Hi,
I am two months into a project using Video Studio Pro X2. I had to format my hard drive. Before doing so, I saved my project files (Video Files, photos and scans) in a folder including the Video Studio Pro X2 project file (.vsp). Since I will have to reinstall Video Studio software from scratch, will the program find all the files and put them correctly in the time line (with settings like fades and edits) or will I have to start all over again. I am hoping the .vsp file (project file) will have all that info. I am also hoping I just have to re-link the clips.

Thanks for reading,
Mark

If all your clips were in the same folder when you saved before reformatting, and they are put back in the same, then you might get away with not even having to relink them. However I think the worse case would be just relinking them...;)

I hope that's the case Ron. I spent many hours on this already and it won't be completed until December. I'll keep my fingers crossed and let you know. Thanks.
