email and aol?

Post by tachy »

I use aol for email, and was wondering if there was any way to get corel photoshop x2 to use aol to insert photos to? I have tried making aol my default email program in internet explorer, but photoshop still inserts the photos into microsoft outlook when I choose the email option. I then have to manually insert each photo into my email window.

Is there a way to do it?

No, most all programs like PSP will not allow Web Based email for this process. They use whatever email client you have selected as your default, Outlook, Outlook Express, Thunderbird and so on..

I use the aol, program based email, and do have aol set as the defualt, but still outlook opens, so I guess there is no way to make it work.

As I'm not familiar with AOL's email client, do you know if it supports the MAPI standard ? PSP can access email clients that support the MAPI standard.

I have, but really don't use, Mozilla's Thunderbird, and PSP opens it up without problems.

No, I do not think it supports mapi, only that internet explorer does launch it as the default email when I click on an email address on the internet.
