VS 8 Sound

I just upgraded to VS8. I make slide shows from old family photos, and add a music track. I just finished rendering the first try in VS8 (VS7 worked fine). The sound only occasionally pops in, but most of the time (for 10-15 seconds at a time) there is no sound.

Any suggestions on what the settings should be?

Well you haven't told us what you used in version 8 - but from what you have told us my first suggestion would be - "exactly the same settings as you used succesfully in version 7"

I thought I had used exactly the same settings, but in fact, I had used a .wav file instead of .mp3. I converted the sound from .wav to .mp3, and it works fine.
