Hi Ken:
I use the Template manager all the time to experiment with changing
paramenters for encoding video for Youtube. Template manager is really
powerfull because you can open up most any encoder and modify its
paramenters and then rename it and save it to use anytime.
After you make up a template it also places it in your
Create Video File list to chose from when you render your video.

Hi Ken
Make Movie Manager
Very useful tool.
Once you have created a template you are sure that the settings for the next render (Share-Create Video File) are going to be the same.
I don¡¦t find the standard templates useful. Many of the settings are not what I need. The audio for instance defaults to LPCM, I prefer Digital Dolby.
Using the Custom option and I have to remember what to set.
Make Movie Manager every time.

But why aren't all videos supported for creating templates? For example videos I downloaded from youtube in HD, they are mp4 1280x720, when I select Add video they cannot be added and the Info tab cannot be selected, those same videos play fine in VS, just cannot be added, doesn't matter if I change the extension to mpg, m2ts or whatever, ideas??

Hi Steve
Having a little interest in your templates i followed the links to find that the files have been removed from Driveway, giving this notice:-
This file/folder has been deleted from the Driveway account by the owner. This link is no longer valid.

Thank you for bringing this to my attention.
One of the problems we have on this Web Board is that Corel have not provided us with any storage space. We therefore have to resort to third party sites like driveway, MediaMax, ImageShack and the like.
As we keep finding out from time to time, these freebie sites are unreliable because your "stuff" can vanish at any time and without forewarning.
Whilst I suppose I could purchase some storage space - as much as I like doing what I can here as an unpaid volunteer - I do not intend that goodwill to extend to dipping into my own pocket.
I will have to look around for another free hosting site and check to see if my templates are still on one of my hard drives.
